In business for over 50 years, the Barry Group has received recognition for its efforts to provide value and service, in the form of a Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies for 2009.

The Barry Group has been named as one of Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies for 2009. The annual Deloitte Best Managed Awards Programme, in association with Bank of Scotland (Ireland), recognise and promote the top 20 performing Irish-owned and managed companies.

In business for over 50 years, The Barry Group is one of Ireland’s leading wholesale and distribution groups and a trusted name among customers and retailers for the great value and service it delivers. The company supplies product to over 700 stores including 237 affiliated stores in the Republic of Ireland operating under the Costcutter, Carry Out, Buy Lo and Quik Pick franchise brands.

Commenting on the award win, Jim Barry, managing director of the Barry Group, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for The Barry Group to be recognized for achieving the highest level of business performance.
