• Kepak Convenience Foods (KCF) is introducing a new chicken, bacon and cheese club variant to Rustlers Hot Subs range

• Kerryfresh will launch new Hot Eats, Summer Salads, Prepared Meals and Cooked Meats this summer

• Koka Noodles are available in six flavours; Beef, Chicken, Curry, Mushroom, Vegetable and Stir FryNot only do your customers expect a great range of food-to-go options in store, they also expect the offering to be healthy and easy to prepare with little waste. Most stores have a dedicated food-to-go fridge and it is important to make space for new products to keep the offering fresh and keep consumers coming back for more. The concept of dash-board dining came about during the boom years when people were deemed too busy to stop working for lunch and although we may not be quite so busy now, we are accustomed to the availability of convenient food that can be consumed in the car, at your desk or even sitting in the park.

Keep it Freshways!

To celebrate the arrival of longer days, Freshways is introducing a new choice of salads and a healthy fruit treat.

The salads are Fusilli Pasta with Pineapple & Ham finished with a poppy seeds and mayonnaise dressing or a Ham & Honey Mustard pasta salad. Both contain a convenient “spork” for lunch-time in the park.

FreshwaysThe Fruit Surprise is a healthy and tasty snack. It contains nothing but fresh melon, pineapple, apple and grapes, cut into bite-sized chunks.

In addition Freshways has recently launched its new Healthy Ways range. The range consists of four sandwiches, one wrap and one salad. All these great lunch options are either low fat or reduced fat, thanks to lean recipes that maximise flavour whilst no longer using butter in the range.

Like all products in the Freshways range, our on-the-go snacks and Healthy Ways range are handmade in Ireland guaranteeing the best in freshness every time.

Snap, heat and eat with Heinz

Heinz Snap Pots are ideal for consumers who seek an even quicker way to enjoy Heinz Baked Beanz and Spaghetti Hoops.
Both Heinz Baked Beanz and Spaghetti Hoops are available in the  Snap Pot format. Each Snap Pot pack offers four individual 200g portions that are ready from the microwave in just one minute making them ideal for busy families and lunch and snack occasions both at home and at work. In addition, because Heinz Snap Pots can be popped directly into the microwave, there is no the need to hover by the hob or add to the washing-up.

Kepak extends best selling Rustlers Hot Subs

Kepak Convenience Foods (KCF) is introducing a new variant to Rustlers Hot Subs.

HeinzKCF is confident that the new ‘chicken, bacon and cheese’ club variant will appeal to existing Hot Subs consumers, but also attract new consumers to the brand.

“Club sandwiches are well established on the high street and are extremely popular with our core target market,” says John Armstrong, Kepak Convenience Foods’ marketing director.

“The new ‘club’ SKU has performed extremely well in pre-launch trials and has been shown to have as strong an appeal and purchase intention as the existing Hot Subs range.”

The new variant features tender strips of chargrilled chicken, cheese, streaky bacon with a creamy mayo inside a crisp submarine sandwich and, in line with other Hot Subs, will retail at €2.50.

Rustlers Hot Subs have also been instrumental in introducing new consumers to hot snacking.

SubsJohn Armstrong adds: “It’s clear that Rustlers Hot Subs have introduced a point of difference and a new profit stream to hot snacking, not least because they have enabled retailers to compete more effectively against competitive food service outlets.”

Kepak Convenience Foods advise retailers to stock up on Rustlers Hot Subs to get their share of this profit opportunity.
