Just Eat pauses delivery to back Dublin Pride
As the official partners of Dublin Pride, Just Eat will pause its Dublin delivery service from 11am to 12pm before the parade

This weekend, as the Dublin Pride Festival prepares to stage its historic 50th annual parade, Just Eat has conducted new research into how the LGBTQ+ community feel about coming out to celebrate.
While 14% of members of the community polled for the study (188 people) have attended Dublin Pride celebrations for more than ten years now, 29% more plan to join in for the first time on Saturday.
Just Eat is proud to announce that it is also coming out to celebrate Dublin Pride for the very first time this weekend.
They are sponsoring the festival and bringing two of its restaurant partners, Chimac and Urban Health, to the Dublin Pride Food Village, taking place from 12-6pm in Merrion Square.
To encourage everyone to come out and celebrate Dublin Pride, Just Eat is announcing that for the first time ever, it will be pausing its Dublin delivery service for one hour, from 11am to when the parade begins at 12pm.

The Dublin Pride sponsorship is just one of a series of initiatives that Just Eat is introducing to further show support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Understanding the importance of showing solidarity for the community at occasions like Dublin Pride and all year round, Just Eat has also announced a brand-new partnership with Irish charity, Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre.
The charity is dedicated to supporting the people, spaces, and issues important to the LGBTQ+ community and improving their quality of life.
It is on a mission to empower LGBTQIA+ individuals to express themselves and find fulfilment in all aspects of their lives.
Donations
On Saturday, 50c from all Just Eat orders made after the Dublin delivery service reopens at 12pm, until midnight on Sunday, 30 June, will be donated to Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre.
There will also be an opportunity for visitors to the Just Eat area at the Dublin Pride Village to tap and make a donation of €1, €3 or €52 to Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre in pride.
Just Eat has enlisted the support of social media star Cassie Stokes, who will be visiting the Just Eat area at the Dublin Pride Food Village on 29 Saturday June and documenting her experience on @cassiestokes on Instagram.
Celebrating flavour
When members of the LGBTQ+ community are dining out, ordering in or going to bars / cafés, an overwhelming number (89%) experience positive allyship / support for their community.
In fact, 41% think the hospitality industry is paving the way ahead of other industries when it comes to making the community feel comfortable being themselves.
Several of Just Eat’s partners including GBK, Chimac, Urban Health, Saba To Go, and Bao Bun in Dublin, along with a select number of partners nationwide will also be offering a 20% discount.
Inclusive culture
“At Just Eat, we’re passionate about promoting a culture where every person feels they truly belong,” said Amanda Roche-Kelly, managing director, Just Eat Ireland.
Roche-Kelly explained that’s why Just Eat wanted to show up for the LGBTQ+ community, by partnering with the festival and giving people the opportunity to pause for pride and join in on the celebrations.
“Having such a recognised brand helps drive conversation around the importance of making Ireland an inclusive society is critical to achieving it,” said Oisin O’Reilly, chief executive officer, Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre.
Just Eat’s efforts to enable as many people to celebrate as possible by pausing its Dublin delivery service, is a leading example to follow.
