Borsa Vini Italiani 2025 set to showcase 33 wineries

Representatives from 33 wineries will arrive in Ireland to take part in the 2025 Borsa Vini Italiani 2025, on Thursday 23 January from 11am – 6pm.
The event will take place in the Alex Hotel, 41-47 Fenian Street (off Merrion Square) Dublin D02 H678 r
The event will showcase an impressive line-up of wines with producers travelling from Abruzzo, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Lombardia, Piemonte, Puglia, Sicilia, Toscana, Umbria and Veneto.
The majority are seeking representation on the Irish market.
‘Wine Exchange’
The concept behind the name and essence of ‘Borsa Vini Italiani’ is that of a Wine Exchange whereby owners and winemakers present their wines to the Irish trade.
Commenting, Giovanni Sacchi, director of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) said: “We are delighted to be returning to Ireland to present yet another fantastic range of Italian wines and producers to local importers, distributors and trade operators.
“Our aim is to connect Italian wineries with Irish trade representatives to showcase their diversity, quality and value, in Ireland’s ever-growing wine market.”
Wine Market Report
The 2023 Wine Market Report published by Drinks Ireland Wine in November 2024 shows that 2023 was a positive year for the Irish wine market with volume sales increasing by +6.9%, to 9.4 million cases, up from 8.8 million in 2022.
Wine is still the nation’s second most popular alcoholic beverage and while wine’s market share expanded, sales for other alcohol categories showed a small decrease during 2023.
According to the data, Italy retained its position as the 5th most popular country of origin with a 10.1% market share and sales in 2023 amounting to 945,373 cases.
