The weather has been heating up over the past few weeks and while Ireland is known across the world for its unpredictable weather, one trend that is showing no sign of cooling down is a growth in popularity for Froster flavoured frozen drinks and scrumptious ice creams. Circle K, Ireland’s leading fuel and convenience retailer, has today announced that sales of its range of Froster drinks almost doubled in recent weeks and over 100,000 cups of Froster were sold nationwide during the June bank holiday weekend alone.

Currently available in 135 sites nationwide and with a further rollout planned in the coming months, Circle K’s range of Froster ice cold beverages, which include flavours such as Coca Cola, Fanta Blue Raspberry and Orange Freeze, have taken the nation by storm. Sales of Froster increased by 46% over the week of the Bank Holiday in comparison to the week before, the highest volume of sales recorded in one week since the range was first introduced to Circle K stores nationwide just two years ago.

As well as Froster, people across Ireland have also been heading to selected Circle K stores for an ice cream fix in recent weeks. Sales of Circle K’s soft serve ice cream have risen by over a third (35%) over recent weeks in comparison to sales for the same timeframe last year and by a whopping 98% in the last fortnight alone. As Ireland enters the next phase of the government’s roadmap today, which will likely increase customer footfall to stores, Circle K has stocked up on soft serve ice cream and Froster supplies for anyone who is looking for a cooldown treat over the summer months, while adhering to the stringent safety measures that are in place across all stores to keep staff and customers safe.

The sales figures have revealed that some areas in Ireland are particularly prone to a Froster…or a few. According to the figures, Dublin appears to be the home of the biggest Froster fans in Ireland, with Circle K stores in Hartstown, City Avenue in the Citywest area and Cabra each selling 300 cups every day* over the last week of May.
