Since his injury, Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot has been trying to find his ideal supporting role within the Irish Rugby team.

His latest attempts – serving as a pitch-side reporter, singing the anthem, and trying out as the Irish Rugby team’s official kitman, have once again proven too challenging for him.

The chop

Even with the support of two Irish rugby legends, professional kitman Paddy ‘Rala’ O’Reilly and Paul O’Connell, poor Kevin has got the chop once again.

As the 2024 Autumn Nations Series approaches, and the highly anticipated Ireland vs New Zealand game on 8 November draws closer, what is next for Kevin the Carrot and does he have another trick up his peel?

Meanwhile, a highly unusual situation has emerged at the Aviva Stadium, as sources say something “peculiar” is happening on the pitch.

“We’ve never seen anything like this before, carrots are sprouting all over the pitch- left, right, and centre. Every time we pull one out, another will appear in its place.”

With some of the most eagerly awaited rugby fixtures set to take place in the coming weeks, and some unusual activity spotted in the Aviva, watch this space to see if Kevin the Carrot will finally find his patch and become outstanding in his field.

Kevins perfect role will be announced soon, click here to find out more.
