Michael Hayes joins the National Lottery at an exciting time as it prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2017

The National Lottery has appointed Michael Hayes as its head of marketing, as the organisation gears up to celebrate its 30th anniversary next year.
Hayes joins the National Lottery as a highly-experienced industry professional with extensive expertise as a senior marketing leader with a strong strategic and FMCG consumer marketing background, practiced in both international and domestic markets.
His industry background has seen him develop senior board management and leadership experience working with numerous blue chip companies and brands. He brings to the National Lottery a wealth of expertise having worked with brands such as Meteor, Diageo, Pillsbury and Musgrave.
Hayes’ appointment comes at an exciting time as the National Lottery prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2017. As the new head of marketing, Hayes will manage the overall delivery of all strategic marketing objectives of the Irish National Lottery. He will lead the marketing team and play an integral role in developing and executing key strategies to aid the organisations growth, including the company’s exciting and ambitious push into online and digital markets.
