Rescheduled 21st Hennessy Gold Cup still draws them in
Once again, this year’s Hennessy Gold Cup, one of the most stylish events in the Irish social calendar, welcomed a variety of special guests from the world of fashion, sport, music and the arts.

This year’s winner of the Hennessy Best Dressed competition was Liz Maher from County Carlow who received a €4,000 voucher for The Design Centre. Runner-up Faith Amond (also from Carlow) received a magnificent neck-piece from jewellery designers Erickson Beamon.
The event had had to be rescheduled due to bad weather and hat designer Philip Treacy and model Jasmine Guinness had to judge the competition remotely from the UK via their mobile phones and laptops.
This year’s race, won by Kempes, marked the 21st running of the Hennessy Gold Cup at Leopardstown. A host of specially-invited guests including Hennessy’s customers as well as Irish and foreign dignitaries enjoyed the celebrations on the day at the private event in the Leopardstown Pavilion.
The delicious food and specially-selected wines were complemented by Hennessy cognac.
“There is a great vibe at this year’s Hennessy Gold Cup with everyone enjoying the style and the racing,” commented Caroline Sleiman from Moët Hennessy.
