Whoosh, Tesco’s delivery service, is being trialled at express stores in Donnybrook, Spencer Dock and Newmarket Yards.

The service allows customers within a 4.5-kilometre radius to order from more than 3,000 products with the aim of offering convenient solutions for everything from last-minute meal ingredients to quick options.

The cost of delivery from the grocer is €3.99 with an additional €2 charge on baskets totalling less than €15 albeit there is no minimum spend.

Exciting time

Tesco is aiming to offer customers a seamless shopping experience when availing of the delivery service.

It can be ordered via the Tesco website alongside the app on both iOS and Android devices and is made by Deliveroo.

Sean Nolan, Tesco’s director of online, said: “We are always looking for new ways to make shopping more convenient for our customers.

“From our research, there is a strong demand for fast, almost immediate, grocery delivery, and we are delighted to now offer this service to our Dublin City customers”, he continued.

It aims to expand its delivery service across more Express stores in Dublin in the coming months.
