Tommy Bowe officially launches Maxol Mace Dublin Road, Dundalk
14 March 2016
Colin and Eugene Fee’s Maxol Mace on the Dublin Road in Dundalk officially launched on 7 March, in a move which has created more than 25 new jobs for the area. Situated opposite the Dundalk Institute of Technology, the new site forms part of Maxol Mace’s extensive investment and expansion plans in Ireland.
A great crowd turned out to meet their sporting hero Tommy Bowe, who was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for photographs with all in attendance. There was also a special outside broadcast by iRadio, which added some music and fun to the proceedings.
The opening of this new forecourt and convenience store at Dublin Road reflects the growing demand from local students for a full service offering. This includes the company’s award-winning fresh food and coffee, contemporary seating area, high spec washrooms as well as complimentary wi-fi within the Maxol Mace convenience store. A drive-through car wash and pay at pump facilities providing fuel 24 hours are also available.
Congratulating the Fees on their new store, Alex Banahan, Mace sales director had high praise for the work done on this project. “The new location on the Dublin Road is the perfect fit for the latest convenience concept and we look forward to welcoming local students, residents and of course commuters to Maxol Mace, situated at the heart of the community in Dundalk,” he said.
“We are very proud of what Eugene, Colin and their staff have achieved,” Banahan added. “We know this store will deliver fantastic service and quality to the community and local shoppers will get great value for money with the variety of products and services on offer.”
Also speaking at the launch, Brian Donaldson, group general manager, The Maxol Group said it was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and added that more site openings are “planned for the imminent future”.
